Got together with a group of friends yesterday and started the Beth Moore Esther study and, wow, it’s gonna be a good one. But, I’m keeping it light today and sharing something funny from the introduction. The question was asked to 400 women, “What are the 3 toughest things about being a woman?” Beth shared this response, ready? Wearing panties and having to hide the fact that I am wearing panties – let’s bring back the pantie line! This cracked me up! But, it’s so true and it got me thinking, what are some (non-serious) things that aren’t my favorite about being a woman . . .
- Amen to the pantie line!
- eyebrow waxing (oh, the pain!)
- leg shaving (completely in awe of daily shavers)
- having to wear a swimsuit vs shorts to the pool (I need the cover up people!)
- PMS (I’m sure it’s not a favorite for my hubby either)
- keeping my toe nails painted and chip free during the summer
What would you add to this list?

Sooo super excited to be going through this study “long distance” with you!!
I laughed out loud when she talked about the panty lines!!
This is good stuff!!!

I loved that study and am so glad you are doing it!
I hate that we have to “do” our hair. I wish that I had a “pretty” enough face that I could cut off my hair. If a guy doesn’t want to do his hair he can shave it and no one will think anything of it.
This one may come out wrong, but giving birth and having your body change due to a growing child inside of you…I would give that up. However, I wouldn’t give up all of that joy that those things bring. So…I guess I’d just like to give up the pain and the flab.
AMen to that! That list is perfect! I have the study but have not yet done it. I need to get on the ball. Maybe i can do it via georgia twitter or email.
I agree with the hair and want to add the age creams and hair dye that we all seem to use to stay looking young, how is it that guys seem to look better with age?
I am so glad you are doing this study! I am enjoying it so much!

In light of our conversation last night…thought I’d respond:) (and since I won’t get to see you to make comments in person for the next two weeks:(:))
1-the whole “man up” thing:)
2-having to pay to get my hair cut when if I was a boy, I could just shave it myself for pretty much free
…that’s all I got for today:)
I say good riddins to the bra! This one may be a little ’socially unacceptable’ but I’ll have to submit and wear one until I’m too old to care!
Hey! I am catching up on your blog – fun! And, I had to comment here regarding the eyebrow waxing. Remember when you had me pull off the strip when we were roommates. I HATED doing that because I didn’t want to hurt you. You would try to be strong and brave and act like it didn’t hurt, but as soon as I would riiiiippp it off, you would bounce around with a sharp intake of breath saying “ow, ow, ow, ow, ow.”
Good times!
